Pregnancy and parenthood don’t just ask you to care for someone new.

They often ask you to meet unfamiliar parts of yourself, while grieving, reshaping and rediscovering who you are becoming.

Pregnancy, parenthood & Identity

Pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood can bring profound emotional, physical and identity shifts.

Even during deeply wanted seasons of life, it is common to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, stretched thin or unsure of yourself in ways you did not expect. Many women find themselves navigating matrescence, while both women and men can experience significant identity shifts and the emotional load that can come with caring for everyone else while slowly losing connection with themselves.

This space offers compassionate, nervous-system-informed support through the complexity of these transitions. Integrating psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, somatic approaches and nervous-system-informed care, we work gently with both the conscious and subconscious mind, supporting emotional regulation, steadiness and reconnection as you move through pregnancy, postpartum and identity after motherhood or parenthood.

Hypnotherapy can also support the release of fear, overwhelm, anxiety and deeply held patterns that may surface during these transitions, helping create greater safety, calm and connection within yourself and your experience.

Sessions may support:

pregnancy and birth preparation

postpartum adjustment and emotional support

anxiety and overwhelm in motherhood

matrescence and identity shifts

emotional support during pregnancy

reconnecting to yourself beyond survival mode

nervous system regulation and emotional resilience

reducing stress, fear and subconscious patterns connected to parenthood

You do not need to hold everything perfectly to deserve support.

You are allowed to be supported too.
